• Login Information: If you choose to sign in via your Google email or account, we collect your email address for login and to sync your data across devices.

b. Automatically Collected Information

• Local Storage: All data related to your Zikr progress, custom Zikr, settings, and streaks are stored locally on your device. We do not access or store this data on any external server or database.
• Google Drive Backup (Optional): If you opt to use the backup feature, your progress and settings are stored in your personal Google Drive. This data is accessible only by you and used solely for backup and restore purposes.

c. Device Permissions

We request the following permissions to ensure the app functions as intended:

• Location Access: To provide accurate prayer timings and Qibla direction, the app requires access to your device’s location.
• Device Sensors: The Qibla compass uses your device’s motion sensors (e.g., accelerometer, magnetometer) to calculate the direction of Qibla.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Provide core app functionality (e.g., Zikr tracking, Tasbih counter, prayer timings).
• Enable you to save and restore your data through local storage or Google Drive backup.
• Notify you of prayer times, streaks, or other reminders through notifications.

We do not use your information for advertising or analytics purposes.

3. Third-Party Services

ZikrMate integrates the following third-party services to enhance the user experience:

• Google Sign-In: Used for optional user login.
• Google Drive: Used for backup and restore functionalities.
• Stripe: Used for accepting donations to support the app’s development.
• Quran.com API: We use the Quran.com API to provide the Read & Listen Quran feature. By using this feature, you are subject to Quran.com’s terms and privacy practices, which can be reviewed at Quran.com Privacy Policy.
  

  4. Data Security

  We take appropriate security measures to protect your data. Since your data is stored locally on your device, we recommend that you safeguard your device with strong passwords or biometric authentication. We do not store or process any personal data on external servers.

  5. Data Retention

  • Locally Stored Data: Your data is stored on your device as long as the app is installed.
  • Google Drive Backup: If you use the backup feature, your data remains on your Google Drive until you choose to delete it.

  6. User Rights

  You have the right to:

  • Access and Control Your Data: You can modify or delete your saved Zikr, streaks, and other settings at any time.
  • Uninstall the App: Uninstalling the app will delete all locally stored data.

  7. Children’s Privacy

  Our app is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information promptly.

  We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the app after changes to the Privacy Policy indicates your acceptance of those changes.
