About the project
Zikr Mate, developed by Prolaxies, is a state-of-the-art mobile application designed to enrich the spiritual lives of its users. Originally launched as a simple digital Tasbih counter, ZikrMate has evolved into a comprehensive tool for spiritual practice, now featuring advanced functionalities such as a timer-enhanced counter, a rich Zikr library, prayer timings with Adhan, and the inclusion of the Holy Quran.
Objective
The initial objective of Zikr Mate was to create an ad-free, user-friendly digital Tasbih counter. As the app gained popularity, the scope expanded to include additional features that could further support users in their spiritual journey. The goal was to transform ZikrMate from a basic counting tool into a complete spiritual companion, providing everything a user might need for their daily worship and remembrance practices.
Challenges
Integrating timers, a detailed Zikr library, prayer timings with Adhan, and the entire Holy Quran into ZikrMate while keeping the user experience simple and ad-free was a significant challenge. Ensuring seamless data synchronization across devices through Google integration added complexity, requiring innovative solutions to maintain the app’s accessibility and user-friendliness.
Our approach
We enhanced Zikr Mate by adding timers to the Tasbih counter, a comprehensive Zikr library, accurate prayer timings with Adhan, and the full Holy Quran. We focused on simplicity and usability, ensuring these features were intuitive and easy to access. We also integrated Google for seamless data sync across devices, all while maintaining the app’s ad-free environment to ensure an uninterrupted spiritual experience.
Style Guide
We chose Deep Teal as the primary color for ZikrMate. This shade, evocative of tranquility and focus, was carefully selected to create a calming atmosphere that aligns with the app’s purpose of supporting peaceful spiritual practices. The rich, soothing tone of Deep Teal fosters a serene user experience, encouraging reflection and mindfulness. To complement this, we utilized the Inter font, known for its clean, modern design and excellent readability. Together, the Deep Teal and Inter font ensure that ZikrMate not only offers a visually appealing interface but also provides a user-friendly and accessible experience.
Results

By expanding the app’s features while maintaining its core values of simplicity and ad-free use, we have created a comprehensive tool that supports users in their spiritual journeys.
